Mustaffa Abdul Latiff

Mr. Mustaffa Abdul Latiff is an engineer and businessman with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas sector in Southeast Asia. He graduated in 1988 from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom with a bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering. Hired initially as a technology expert for oil and gas exploration and production to automate drilling processes, he became a highly experienced petroleum engineer. He worked his way up from a mobile field engineer and drilling superintendent at Racal Survey Ltd to management positions at British Petroleum PLC supervising over 200,000 barrels per day production operations in oil fields in the North Sea, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. He was previously the CEO of Tenggara Oil Bhd, a listed company on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange where he secured major oil blocks in Indonesia. In addition to his position at the Company, he is an active lecturer to young engineers and is currently the Chairman of Manos Medical, LLC, a manufacturer of medical products, which he co-founded. He is a Malaysian citizen and lives in the Kuala Lumpur area with his family. He is fluent in the languages of Malaysia and Indonesia, Arabic, and in English.
